Thanks for participating in Fall In-Service. Below is the full record of events held during Fall In-Service Week.
Opportunities are planned throughout the week of Sept. 18-21 in preparation for the new academic year. Events listed below will be updated as more information becomes available.
The college will hold its annual Fall In-Service Day on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, on the main campus with professional development opportunities for employees. The complete agenda is now available.
Tuesday, Sept. 18 - Faculty Connections and Lane Welcome Day
Faculty Connections: All day: Faculty Connections information and registration. The year-long faculty mentorship and professional development opportunity begins on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Lane Welcome Day: There are opportunities to connect with new students at Lane Welcome Day on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Programs and departments are invited to share information about their services and resources and set up a table from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2nd floor of the Center building. Wednesday, Sept. 19 - Departmental Meetings and Faculty Sabbatical Presentations
Check with individual departments for more information.
Faculty Sabbatical presentations are scheduled from 1-3 p.m. in CML, Room 220. The event is sponsored by Faculty Professional Development.
Thursday, Sept. 20 - In-Service Day
The complete in-service agenda for In-Service Day is now available and will be updated through Monday, Sept. 17. The morning plenary session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and features addresses by President Margaret Hamilton, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Paul Jarrell; Vice President of College Services Brian Kelly, and Chief Human Resources Officer Dennis Carr. Following the morning session, employees will have the option to attend breakout sessions presented by faculty, staff and managers.
The day will conclude with union meetings. The Faculty Union (LCCEA) plans to meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Longhouse. The Classified Union (LCCEF) and Manager's Group plan to meet at 1:45 p.m. Classified staff will meet in Building 4, Room 106 and managers will meet in Building 4, Room 105. Check with your respective union for meeting length and topic information.
