Licensed Practical Nurse

PROGRAM

What you’ll learn

The Practical Nursing Program prepares you to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX PN) to find employment as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or seek further education to become a Registered Nurse (RN).

1-Year Certificate

The practical nursing program is a full-time, year-long certificate program, after completing the required prerequisite courses. With coursework divided between classroom, skills lab, and clinical rotations, we give you a strong foundation for a rewarding (and very in-demand) career in healthcare.

LPNs work under the supervision of RNs to provide care and treatment of injured, ill, disabled, convalescent, and terminally ill clients. Depending on your interest, you may find employment in a hospital, long term care facility, rehabilitation center, surgery center, or other healthcare facility.
