Optional FERPA Release
Sharing of student information between school district staff, a parent, and Lane Community College staff requires a release of student record information, which is covered by the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). If you choose to release your information, it will be in effect for the entire term you receive the tuition-free course.
Please note that giving a parent a FERPA release is only allowed with the HS Connection advisor, the Registrar, and Bursar Office. A parent contacting another department on campus will not have FERPA rights.
We will only release Admission Requirements, placement testing results, course suggestions, and financial information to parents. We will not release registration information, final grades or class schedules.
You are responsible for understanding your rights, responsibilities, and conditions of this one tuition-free course. View your myLane account and my.lanecc.edu email frequently. By submitting this form, I understand the following:
- I know I am responsible to pay for at least $200 in fees, textbooks and supplies associated with this one tuition-free course.
- If I drop my spring term class after week 2, I cannot receive a tuition-free course in the summer.
