Accredited Programs

Below is a list of Lane’s programs that maintain specialized accreditation or approval from professional organizations such as the Oregon State Board of Nursing. These processes help ensure we offer quality education and prepare students for a recognized profession. In some cases, for example, programmatic accreditation ensures that students meet professional licensure requirements by reviewing the quality of curriculum and program content.

Automotive & Flight

  • Automotive Technology, AAS - The Automotive Technology, AAS, is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, a non-profit foundation within the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
  • Diesel Technology, AAS and Certificate of Completion - The Diesel Technology, AAS and Certificate of Completion, are evaluated and accredited by the Association of Equipment Distributors Foundation (AEDF). Membership: Northwest Diesel Industry Council (NDC) and Oregon Trucking Association (OTA).
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician, AAS and Certificate of Completion - The Aviation Maintenance Technician, AAS and Certificate of Completion, are approved under Part 147 of the Federal Aviation Regulations and AMTS EM8T117Q Airframe and Powerplant Ratings of the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Flight Technology Private Pilot, AAS - The Flight Technology Private Pilot, AAS, Instrument and Commercial Flight Training are approved under Part 147 of the Federal Aviation Regulations.

Health Professions

  • Dental Assisting, Certificate of Completion - The Dental Assisting, AAS, is accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation, a specialized accrediting board recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education.   • Dental Hygiene, AAS - The Dental Hygiene, AAS, is accredited by The American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation, a specialized accrediting board recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education.   • Nursing, AAS - The Nursing: Registered Nurse, AAS; Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Certificate of Completion; and Practical Nursing, Certificate of Completion are approved by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) 27938 SW Upper Boones Ferry Rd, Portland, OR, 971.673.0685, oregon.gov/OSBN. Lane is a member of the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE) and offers a competency-based curriculum. OCNE is a partnership of Oregon nursing programs dedicated to educating future nurses. Faculty from eleven community colleges and six university campuses created - and continue to develop – a shared curriculum taught on all consortium campuses.
  • Paramedicine, AAS - The Paramedicine, AAS, is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The Paramedic and EMT Programs are accredited by the State of Oregon Department of Education, Office of Community Colleges and Workforce Development, Higher Education Coordinating Commission.
  • Medical Assistant, Certificate of Completion - The Medical Assistant, Certificate of Completion, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, a specialized accrediting board recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, on the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment.   • Physical Therapist Assistant, AAS - The Physical Therapist Assistant, AAS, is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), 1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314, 703.706.3245.

Culinary & Hospitality

  • Culinary Arts and Food Service Management, AAS - The Culinary Arts and Food Service Management, AAS, is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Foundation Accrediting Commission, a specialized accrediting commission recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. A student graduating from the program will be eligible to receive national certification status as a Certified Culinarian (CC).
  • Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management, AAS - The Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management, AAS, is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). Students graduating from the program will receive national certification status as a Certified Hospitality Graduate (CHG).
