Women in Trades Career Fair

Women's Program Trip to the Women in Trades Career Fair

Women that work in the trades

An exciting annual event that has been gaining popularity with women in the Women in Transition Program and at LCC is the Oregon Women in Trades Career Fair. At the heart of this event are women who have earned their livelihood working in the trades fields.

"Produced annually since 1993, this unique, industry sponsored and volunteer powered event offers dozens of hands-on activities designed to introduce women and girls to the possibility of a future career in the trades."

Transportation from Eugene to Portland is organized by the Women's Center Career and Technical advisor Lisa Bohannan and her assistant Pat McMurray – Registration is required so that the appropriate travel preparations can be made. The next event will be in May 2015.
