Dear TRiO Students:

Dear TRiO Students:

Dear TRiO Students:   Spring term has taken off and here we are at week 4. Mid-terms will be starting very soon and continuing through week seven, so be sure you are preparing well. We're still missing a bunch of you who have not yet been in this term. Please come in this week.

1. Advance Advising for Summer and Fall 2008 begins Tuesday, 4/22. Advance Registration for summer begins May 6th at 7:00 a.m. and Advance Registration for Fall begins May 20th at 7:00 a.m. Be sure to see your Advisor or Counselor to plan your schedule for next year.

2. Please complete a TRiO Program Evaluation Form and the form that tells us your plans for next year. Both forms are available in the TLC or TRiO Office, and the Evaluation form is attached here. You can either print it out, complete it and turn it in, or complete it electronically and submit it by e-mail to nortonm@lanecc.edu. It is really important to us to get your feedback, so please take the 5-10 minutes it takes to complete the form. If you drop it off in the TRiO office you get a treat!

3. TLC Special Services: From 3:00 to 4:30 Bill and Jenn are offering their expertise to coach you in the following areas: ~ Moodle navigation (Jenn and Bill) ~ Math 60, 65, and 95 (Jenn and Bill) ~ Conjunctions and compound sentences (Jenn) ~ Developing and supporting your thesis (Jenn) ~ Grammar and Punctuation

5. Where can I save without a flashdrive? You can save your work in privacy by saving under your "L" number. Just click on "save as" and notice that the drive that is highlighted shows your "L" number. Click on that drive, the "N" drive. Don't forget to name your document and choose the proper file type, as ".doc" or ".rtf." and hit save. If you are unsure, a tutor can assist you. Before the end of each term, save any documents to your flash drive or email them to yourself, as the system is cleared when Lane closes between terms.
