Earth Week Kick Off - Solar Station Ribbon Cutting
 |
- When: 10:00 to 10:45 am
- Where: Solar Station, Parking Lot B
- What: Kick-off your Earth Day celebration by attending the ribbon cutting ceremony for Lane's solar station. This event will include an address by President Mary Spilde, an electric vehicle charging demonstration, and a chance to mingle with the team that made this project happen including funders, designers, contractors and others.

Tour Building 30
 |
- When: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Where: Meet in the Building 30 lobby near the coffee shop
- What: Take this opportunity to learn about Lane's greenest building. Learn how Building 30 uses less energy, less water, and was constructed from more eco-friendly materials.

Learning Garden
 |
- When: 12:00 to 4:00 pm
- Where: Learning Garden
- What: Activities, tours and food will be offered in the Learning Garden throughout the day. At 12:00 pm - Soup made from Learning Garden veggies will be served. Garden tours will be offered at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

Wellness Ecology Walk
 |
- When: 1:30 to 2:30 pm
- Where: Meet at the west entrance to Building 16 (near the Math office)
- What: Tour Lane's nature trails with Lane's Biology instructor, Gail Baker, and Lane's Wellness Assistant, Lori Zimmerman. The walk will be brisk with some stops. It will start with a tour of the native landscape project around Building 16 and continue up into the Forested Hillside across the parking lot from Building 16. Gail Baker will talk about how the Forested Hillside was used as the model to create the native landscaping design around Building 16.
Join this walk to celebrate Earth Week, learn about sustainable practices on campus, and integrate enjoyment and activity to improve mental and physical health in your work or learning environment. See the Natural Resources Section on Lane's Science Division webpage for more information on flora and fauna in the area.

Sustainable Landscapes

- When: 3:00 to 3:45 pm
- Where: Meet at the West Entrance Garden
- What: Tour Lane's beautiful landscapes and gardens throughout campus. Our knowledeable tour guide will discuss how Lane's grounds are chemical free, native, water conserving, wildlife habitats.

Lane’s Council of Clubs and Institute for Sustainable Practices Host Exhibits in Cafeteria
- When: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Where: Center Building Cafeteria
- What: Local non-profit agencies, sustainability-related businesses, and campus groups will have exhibits, demonstrations, information, and staffing available to answer your questions. Many of the exhibitors will help you learn new ways to save resources and money.

LEARNING GARDEN MONTHLY MIXERS
March 21 and April 25th, 2-4 pm
This is a gathering of anyone interested in getting involved with the Learning Garden. We will spend part of the time in formal discussion about Learning Garden projects and goals and part of the time intermingling with others and eating delicious food. Please join us! Everyone is welcome.
