The Recovery Center - Recovering Sobriety, Recovering Culture

Lane Community College is committed to the health and well-being of all of its students. Toward that end, comprehensive and confidential substance abuse prevention services are offered for students and staff.
The Recovery Center offers information and referral, support, and individual and group counseling services about substance abuse and related issues which affect students and their families. Support groups are available to support recovery or simply to gain information and insight on a variety of issues including alcohol and other drug abuse, smoking cessation, eating issues, parenting, co-dependency and other problems.

Support Groups
(How to Start or get Started in a support group)
The Recovery Center facilitates the formation of student-run support groups on topical issues such as Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. While these meetings are listed in the community as being open meetings, they are facilitated by LCC students, and therefore are subject to change from term to term, as well as probably non-existent during finals week and all school vacations. All programs are open to all currently enrolled Lane Community College students (and their families) in credit, adult basic education, high school completion courses, and Training and Development programs. There is no cost to students or their families. Most services are provided by professionally trained staff. Information and referral services are provided by trained volunteers and students.

The Recovery Center maintains information on substance abuse related services in Lane County, the state, and in some cases, out-of-state resources. The center suggests a wide variety of choices based on each individual's circumstances. The center does not advocate any particular program of recovery or self-help.

All services provided are confidential. No information is released without student permission, except upon court order.

Office hours for fall, winter, and spring terms are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.Closed Summer term. For more information, call (541) 463-5178.
