The Eldon G. Schafer Endowment for Innovation has awarded $1,500 in seed-money to the Home Page Steering Committee for development of Laneís home page on the World Wide Web. The Schafer committee has challenged the college to provide matching funds. In addition, the Schafer committee awarded the annual $250 Pat-On-The-Back Award to the home page team for its hard work. The home page team worked without a budget to produce a comprehensive and information-rich Web site which launched September 1995. New pages and features are continually being added and refined. The team has since changed its name to the Web Site Steering Committee. Lucy Schafer Kinsman chairs the endowment committee. The endowment was established in honor of her late husband who served as LCC president from 1970-85.
