Welcome to Student Life and Leadership. We are located in building one, room 206. Feel free to come up and use our computers (two PCs, tow Macs) to do your homework, check out your Lane schedule or use e-mail free of charge. We provide faxing services at a low cost, housing information, a snack bar and a place to study and relax. Your ASLCC student government is located just next door to us. Free tax help and preparation is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-3:00. In the South end of the cafeteria, first come first serve, no appointments taken.

Student Government Elections:
ASLCC elections will be held May 12, 13 and 14. Applications for Student Body President, Vice President, Treasurer and Multi-Cultural Events Coordinator can be picked up beginning April 1, through April 29 in Building #1, Room 210. All applications are DUE BACK By April 29 by 3:00 p.m. No Exceptions!!! Prospective candidates must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.

Recreational Sports Activities and Events
All activities are designed for Lane Community College students and their families. Participation in the following requires a ticket from the Recreation Department. These events have limited space available so please hurry and pick up your tickets today. Tickets Child and Family Education Department (CFE)

The Child and Family Education Department at Lane Community College provides a variety of services to children, families and students in Lane County.
There are three programs in the department:
Early Childhood Education prepares students for successful careers as child care professionals in a variety of settings such as child care centers, on-site child care centers in the business community, Head Start and Even Start, or in a family child care business operated from their own home. Attend classes to build your skills or choose between a one-year certificate or a two year Associate of Applied Science Degree. Lane’s Child and Family Center is a State licensed center located on the main campus that provides care for students, staff and community families. The Child and Family Center is open from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm., Monday-Friday and serves children 30 months to five years old.
The classrooms in the program are staffed by professional teachers, student workers, and parents. The center is a lab school for students in the Early Childhood Education program and a cooperative where parents can work to reduce their fees. Limited child-care tuition assistance is available. Lane Family Connections provides referrals to child-care and recreational programs in Lane County. Assistance in launching a child-care business, support and training for child care providers is available.

Department office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Department office is open throughout the year, with closures on holidays and college-wide in-service days. The office is located in Building #24 in the south east part of campus (view a map of campus). To contact the office call 541.463.5519. Voice-mail service is available for messages during weekends and after hours.
