Graduation Keynote Speaker contest
$100.00 Honorarium

• This contest is open to all students who are graduating in 2012
• The Lane Community College graduation ceremony will feature a keynote address by a Lane student
• Graduation is Saturday, June 16, 2011, 4 p.m. at Lane County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall 
  

The Keynote Speech should reflect:

• Recognition of time, work and energy students have shown in completing their degree, diploma or certificate
• Offer inspiration to students regarding future employment prospects and demonstrate the value of education in reaching their goals
• Show examples of success achieved through the speaker’s experiences at Lane.
• Recognize contribution of staff, family and friends in helping students succeed. 
  

Contestants will present their speech to a selection committee on April 27 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Interested students should prepare a speech no longer than 5 minutes in length, sign up for a time to present their speeches no later than April 10, 2012 with Tina Lymath in Student Life and Leadership Development, building one, room 201B.
