Laundry Facility
Specialized Support Services provides employment training at the Laundry Facility on
LCC's main campus. A group of Student Workers and several Staff people work
in cooperation with LCC Laundry production Staff, Monday - Friday, 6:30 am -
4:00 pm. They collect laundry from locations on and off campus, including Springfield
School system, the University of Oregon, and LCC's PE, Food Services, Dental
and Nursing programs, Custodial Dept., Automotive Dept. and others.
Laundry is then washed, dried and carefully folded. Specialty items are pressed
and cleaned based upon the customers need. Repair of torn items is available.
Upon completion, the clean items are delivered back to their point of origin.
Student Workers are involved in every phase of the process.
