Benefits of being an officer include organizing campus and community projects, learning leadership skills, and making positive improvements within the chapter and the region. Applications are at http://www.lanecc.edu/ptk/Officer%20Application.rtf Applications are due no later than the May 4 chapter meeting, and candidates are encouraged to speak to the general membership. Elections will be held following the candidate presentations. If you have questions, please ask Velda. Regional Conference The regional conference will be hosted by Clackamas CC on May 1-3. At the conference, chapters will be voting on regional officers. This is an excellent opportunity for you. If you will be enrolled at Lane through the academic year, consider running. The leadership trainings and experience with the regional team will be very helpful. Our hope is to have at least two positions held by Lane students. Contact Velda if you are interested in attending the conference or in running for a regional position.
