The 89th International Convention
In Nashville, Tennessee, April 12-14, 2007

Some members of our chapter attended the International Convention in Nashville, TN from April 10-15. It was extremely educational--Al Gore and Jehan Sadat were guest speakers, and we had a lot of fun. Our chapter brought home three awards:

  • Sigma Zeta is one of the Top 100 Chapters for 2006. (There are currently 1205 chapters internationally.)
  • Sigma Zeta received the Pinnacle Scholarship Gold Award for increasing our 2006 membership at least ten percent over the previous year.
  • Velda Arnaud, Chapter Advisor, received the Paragon Award for New Advisors serving less than five years. This is her second year as advisor, and this is her second paragon award.

In additon, our chapter presented an educational forum at the convention. Our topic was building a chapter web site.
