The gates bounding Lane Community College's main campus will be secured between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily.
In addition the gates will be closed on the 12 legal college holidays, or during times of emergency closure.
Getting on campus when the gates are closed:
Access will be through Gate # 9 – the East side electronic gate that goes into lot M and down by the Center building.
There is a call button at the gate and you just need to push the button. You will be connected with the Public Safety officer on duty. The officer may respond to the gate or activate the gate remotely to let you in. We anticipate this will take less than 5 minutes.
Leaving campus when the gates are closed.
Gate # 9 will automatically open for vehicles wishing to leave campus.
However, you will need to find gate #9 and that may take some planning depending on where you park. Refer to the map below for after hours exit routes from all parking lots. Exit routes will be posted at all gates. You may call Public Safety @ 463-5555 and request directions on how to get to gate #9. The bollards in the driveway between buildings #19 and #1 [The Ramp] will be pulled during closed hours so you can drive through that way.
For easiest exit from campus, park in Lot M (Gate 9).
