The safety of employees and students is a major consideration of the college. It is important for everyone on campus to be aware that the college campus, like the community in general, may not be completely free of criminal acts. lane and its administration strongly believe everyone has a role in providing a safe learning environment. The college community should use common sense precautions to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
Lane Community College Public Safety asks you to "Not Be A Victim" by:
Public Safety staff is available to make crime prevention presentations to campus groups or classes.
Crime statistics for campus and the surrounding area are posted on the Public Safety Web Page: www.lanecc.edu/psd/main.htm. In addition an ALERT icon on the web page gives current information on campus crime prevention.
Under current state law, computerized sex offender information can be obtained through local law enforcement agencies and the Oregon State Police through their sex offender registration information line at (503) 378-3720 extension 4429. this computerized database can access sex offender information by name, address, zip code or county.
