Law Enforcement Authority
College Public Safety officers (PSO) utilize citizen's arrest powers granted by
Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 133.225
and are supported by the college in the enforcement of all college regulations
and rules and applicable federal, state, city and county laws and ordinances on college property.
Lane Community College has adopted the Oregon Revised Statute
in its entirety through the Student Code of Conduct.
Officers are granted peace officer authority [ORS 133.005 (3)] pertaining to traffic and
parking enforcement as stated by ORS 341.300.
The officers authority covers the geographical boundaries of LCC's properties
(including land, structures, parking facilities, lots and adjacent streets and roadways).
Officers may legally request driver and vehicle identification and verification of insurance.
