In addition to general change consultation during the first phase of Process Redesign, the firm has led focus groups and individual interviews and has been able to guide management through numerous real-life issues directly relevant to the college experience and its need to change both its culture and its processes. Susan B. Phillips & Associates has a clear understanding of what the college intends to accomplish in itsí new team environment.
Susan Phillips herself is a nationally recognized consultant with extensive experience in change management and organizational psychology. She holds advanced degrees in both business and psychology, including a MBA from Stanford University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon.
We feel that Peat Marwick brings a fresh perspective to Laneís redesign process. The firm has broad exposure to the higher education environment and a critical understanding of the interaction of departments and processes within educational institutions. We have found that their expertise is particularly impressive with regard to Financial Aid, Admissions, Student Records, Student Accounts and Counseling.
Peat Marwick consultants have the critical ability to compare college processes and needs with those of other institutions. They have an understanding of the collegeís desire to eventually become independent of consultants and manage Process Redesign as a continuous, broad-based internal function. They will also serve to provide perspective on the critical interactions of administrative processes and academic initiatives, including the need to involve all levels of participants from students to board members in the evolution of change. We feel their emphasis on the use of staff as co-consultants and change agents will be particularly effective at Lane.
