SST Program Administration

SST provides coordination, training, and record-keeping support for all aspects of the Skills Support and Training program.  Specific support activities are listed below:

Quick-Reference Checklist Library

  • Hosts and organizes the online quick-ref library
  • Collaborates with Peer-to-Peer on development and maintenance of quick-refs
  • Provides templates and training for those wishing to publish quick-refs
  • Coordinates editing and revision of quickrefs
  • Notifies stakeholder departments of new quickrefs on procedures for which they are responsible

Skills Training and Certification System

  • Locates appropriate trainers for departments or employees seeking training
  • Assists trainer in obtaining training materials (checklists, certification form, & evaluation form)
  • Publishes revisions of quick-refs based on edits made before and during training
  • Maintains records of training activities and technical certifications
  • Notifies trainee's supervisor and any stakeholder departments of certification status
  • Coordinates Banner access for certified trainees with custodial department

Certified Skills Trainer Program

  • Promotes and manages CST program
  • Develops and delivers Certified Skills Trainer workshops
  • Awards CST status to successful skills trainer workshop participants
  • Maintains searchable database of certified trainers by technical topic
  • Tracks evaluation results and provides feedback and coaching to CSTs
