Lisa Fragala and Rosie Pryor to lead LCC board in 2021-22

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Board of Education unanimously elected Lisa Fragala as chair and Rosemary Pryor as vice chair for 2021-22 at its July 21 meeting.

Fragala was appointed to the board in October 2018 to fill the At Large Position 7 vacancy. She won election in May 2019 to a four-year term from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2023. Fragala has more than 20 years of experience as an elementary educator and currently works as the School and Community Partnership Coordinator at Pacific University. She has served on the Oregon Education Association Board of Directors and the Eugene Education Association. She is a member of the City of Eugene Planning Commission, the Friendly Area Neighborhood Equity Action Team, and has served on numerous additional committees and community organizations. Fragala has a master’s in elementary education from Oregon State University where she also attended the Professional Teacher Education Program. She completed teacher education prerequisite coursework and studied Spanish at Lane.

Rosemary Pryor

Pryor was elected to the board in 2012 and reelected in 2016 and 2020.  She serves in the At Large Position 6. Pryor retired as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at Oregon Community Credit Union in 2014 and has over 40 years of experience in marketing, communications and strategic business planning. During her career, she has served on numerous local boards including Eugene Hearing and Speech, Looking Glass Youth and Family Services, and the Springfield Renaissance Development Corporation. Rosie served eleven years on the Lane Workforce Partnership Board of Directors; two years as Chair of the Board.  In June 2010, she was appointed by Governor Kulongoski to the Oregon Workforce Investment Board.  A year later Governor Kitzhaber appointed her Chair of the Board.

Also serving on the board are Holli Johnson, Zone 1; Angela VanKrause, Zone 2; Mike Eyster, Zone 3; Austin Folnagy, Zone 4; and Steve Mital, Zone 5.
