LCC board meeting and annual budget hearing June 16

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Board of Education meets Wednesday, June 16 starting at 6:00 p.m.

Annual Budget Hearing

At 6:05 p.m., the annual budget hearing will be called to order for fiscal year 2021-22 budget adoption and appropriation. Public comment may be made at the hearing solely regarding the proposed budget via Zoom by registering in advance. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar.

Regular Board Meeting

Following the budget hearing, the regular board meeting will resume. The board will hold public hearings on a fire and security system maintenance contract and a proposed Construction Manager/General Contractor Method for bond-related upgrades at the LCC Florence Center.  Discussion/action agenda items include adoption of the 2021-22 budget, a COVID-19 reopening update, an update on the college’s equitable search practices, and consideration of a resolution in recognition of Juneteenth. Public comment may be made at the hearings or at the regular meeting on any topic, via Zoom webinar by registering in advance. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent containing information about joining the webinar.

Following the meeting, the board will meet in Executive Session under ORS 192.660(2)(d) Labor Negotiator Consultations, and ORS 192.660(2)(h) Legal Counsel, ORS 192.660(2)(i) Performance Evaluations of Public Officers and Employees, and ORS 192.660(2)(e) Real Property Transactions, and ORS 192.660(2)(f), Exempt Information.
