LCC Budget Committee meeting set for May 2

EUGENE, Ore.—The Lane Community College Budget Committee will hold its first meeting of the year on Thursday, May 2, at 5:30 p.m., in the Boardroom, Building 3, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene. 

The meeting will include an orientation for committee members, a walk-through of the proposed 2019-20 budget, and information requests.

Additional meetings will be held on Thursday, May 16, at 5 p.m.; and Thursday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m. The annual budget hearing and adoption will be held at the June 13 Board of Education meeting. 

The Budget Committee consists of the seven members of the Board of Education plus seven citizens at large. Each board member appoints one citizen to the committee for a three-year term. Terms are staggered so that about one-third of the appointed terms end each year.
