Multimedia Design at Lane is a diverse and challenging program. Through a combination of audio engineering, video production, computer technology, studio arts and theory our students receive a well-rounded introduction to the various aspects of multimedia. We train our students on the most current technology being used today and we require that our students complete two internships during the course of their study. When our graduates enter the work force they do so with a competitive edge and a strong portfolio.

Second Year Graphic Design Program Information - poster design by Beth PorterLane's Graphic Design program is an intensive study of both design theory and design production for print and the web. Covering everything from simple ads and page layout, creating corporate identity systems and branding to developing professional websites, students will examine all aspects of visual communication and manifest what they have learned in real-world projects. The culmination of these efforts is found in a final production class where students take on jobs from the community in teams of three with revolving roles. In this class students produce everything from magazine ads, logo designs, websites, brochures to bus graphics and large signs. This curriculum gives students hands-on experience in the industry as well as visibility in the community. Our goal is to give students the tools and credibility they need to get a job in the Graphic Design industry.
