In August 2006, Don Macnaughtan and I attended an OCLC workshop called, "Keep Up! Practical emerging technologies for you and your library" presented by Michael Porter. Michael Porter clearly explained the concepts of Library 2.0 and demonstrated real life examples.

- delicious - Delicious is a site where you can save your bookmarks and access them from anywhere. You can also share your bookmarks with others if you like.
- LibraryThing - Catalog your own books online, and connect with others.
- Flickr - One of the biggest photo sharing sites.
- Picasa - Googles online photo sharing site. It doesn't have as many features as Flickr, but I like the clean layout.
- LCC Library's Picasa (very few public pictures)
- LCC Archives's Picasa
- LCC Art and Applied Design's Picasa
- Google Docs and Spreadsheets - create and share documents online
- Wikipedia - an encyclopedia that anyone can edit
