Personalized Instruction
A reference librarian can assist you at the reference desk during regular reference hours.

Class Instruction
The librarians encourage instructors to bring classes in for an orientation to the library. If you're having a tough time with a research project, chances are other students in your class are too. This is the perfect opportunity to have your instructor make an appointment to bring the class in for a little Research Triage.

Borrowing materials
We've got all sorts of materials available for check out. All you need is a picture I.D. The loan periods are as follows:

  • Books: Four weeks
  • Magazines and newspapers: Library use only
  • Audiocassettes: One week
  • Videotapes: One week (exceptions: videos on reserve, teleconferences, and expensive videos)

Interlibrary loan
We won't always have the journal article or the book you need, but we can still get it for you. Just fill out an Interlibrary Loan form. Most of the time it doesn't cost anything, and the material generally arrives within 1-2 weeks.

If you're looking for a book, try using Summit before filling out an Interlibrary Loan form. Through the Summit Catalog, you have access to over 27 million items located in over 30 regional academic libraries. And it's fast. This service gets you your book in only three working days!
