Learning Community Description: This learning community combines Chemistry for Health Occupations (CH 112) and Cell Biology for Health Occupations (BI 112) into a foundational course for students interested in pursuing the Anatomy and Physiology sequence at LCC. Through a variety of laboratory, group, lecture, and computer activities we will explore the life of the cell and the molecules that compose it, thus preparing students for the study of human organ systems that occurs in Human Anatomy and Physiology (BI 231, 232, 233). This learning community satisfies the prerequisite for Anatomy and Physiology I (BI 231).

Learning Community Description: This learning community is an entry program that assists displaced homemakers, single parents, and other women in transitions become economically self-sufficient through access to education and training. The program includes a one-term seven-credit class focusing on life/career planning, decision making/goal setting, self-exploration, and esteem building. There are also optional linked courses which include Effective Learning, Math 10, writing, and computer skills. Coordinating through the Women's Program, this learning community offers ongoing, staffed discussion groups, individual advising, follow-up services, and convenient day and evening courses. No Writing Class Option: There are a limited number of slots available for a non-writing class option for Fast Lane, but you must have faculty permission. If you are interested, contact Mary Parthemer at 463-3133.
Learning Community Description: A Lane Learning Community of three connected classes for first-year college students who want to succeed. Now you can take the Writing Class you test into with two classes focused on helping you achieve academic and personal success! NOTE: Be sure to sign up for all three classes clustered together below on the same screen of Banner.
