Equipment Use
and Loan Policies
1. All
loans are subject to the availability of the equipment.
2. Under no circumstance is any unauthorized person to move,
modify, or repair equipment on loan from AV Services. Authorized
personnel are AV Services staff and Electronic Services technicians.
3. Users
assume full responsibility for the:
care, use and security of audiovisual equipment for the time period
during which they have reserved the equipment.
damage of equipment through misuse (as opposed to normal wear and tear).
replacement of any equipment that is stolen or lost while in the user's
custody.
4. Short-term loans may be made by any staff or faculty
member for up to five business days (Monday-Friday). If equipment
will be needed for a longer period of time, a new reservation must be
made.
5. Long-term
Loans
The department manager must sign a long-term loan agreement.
The department manager is responsible for the care and supervision
of audiovisual equipment loaned to the department on a long-term basis.
6. Financial
Responsibility
- Financial liability for loss or damage of audiovisual equipment will
be the responsibility of the user.
- When damage or loss of equipment has occurred and an agreement for
assessment of financial responsibility cannot be reached between Audiovisual
Services and the user, disposition of the financial responsibility
will be determined by the appropriate vice president.
