Audiovisual Services provides AV equipment to departments for use in Lane classrooms and staff events, and to community organizations that utilize campus facilities. Loans are at no cost for Lane instructional activities, but a rental fee is charged for the use of equipment for non-LCC events. Services include scheduling, delivery, set-up, and pick-up of the equipment. The department is also responsible for front-line troubleshooting, operation, and technical assistance on permanently installed AV equipment systems. Other functions of the department include acquisition of equipment replacement items (lamps, etc.), minor repairs, coordination of major repairs, maintaining equipment inventory records, and ensuring equipment security. AV Services acts as an information resource by assisting individual departments in purchases of specialized pieces of equipment. Training for AV equipment use is also provided. Services and equipment are provided to all departments on the main campus. Equipment in the Audiovisual Services inventory is also located at the LCC downtown center, outreach centers, and community learning centers. Certain equipment have specific location restrictions. Audiovisual Services staff are available for assistance from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, 463-5370, avrequest@lanecc.edu.
