Mac Lab Information for Instructors Information Technology operates six Macintosh Computer labs on the main campus. Center 431 is used by the LLC department, Center 453 is used by the Art department, Building 18/201B is used exclusively by Graphic Design classes and Health 201 is an open lab. In addition two more Macintosh Labs are managed by IT for the exclusive use of the Media Arts department - Forum 113 and 18/219. All six Macintosh labs are managed through Macintosh Servers, enabling automation and remote management. This configuration allows us to offer centralized file storage for instructors, providing "Drop Box" folders for students to aid in submission of electronic work. It also allows for personal storage space for students and faculty. Currently, these Macintosh Computers feature Macintosh OS 10.4.10, Microsoft Office 2004 and Adobe's Creative Suite 3, Professional Edition, in addition to multiple Web Browsers. The administrator for these labs is Dale DuVall. Dale can be reached at duvalld@lanecc.edu or at extension 3341. How to: Make files and folders available to your students Note: For all Center 431, 453, Health 201 and 18/201B Mac Labs Any data stored on these computers can and will be deleted on a weekly basis. Files are no longer stored automatically on network servers. To access their network storage space, students need to click the globe icon in the dock titled "MountNursery" then enter their L number and PIN. Anything copied here will be kept through the term.
