COLLEGE NOW PROGRAM FACTS
for the 2007-08 School Year
- 5,217 Lane County high school students earned Lane Community College credits through College Now in 2007-08.
- Students earned 30,707 credits through College Now in 2007-08.
- At 2007-08 LCC tuition rates, Lane County families saved over $2,241,611 in college tuition through student participation in College Now.
- 191 Lane County high school instructors were certified to teach College Now courses.
- 31 high schools participate, including 2 public alternative, 2 charter HS, and 5 out-of district high schools.
- 28 Lane Career Tech and Academic transfer programs articulate College Now courses.
- 110 different Lane courses are available through College Now.
- Each Lane program has a faculty liaison to work with high school instructors to answer questions about curriculum/instructional issues.
- The courses are taught in the high school. Through College Now a student taking a course, that has been articulated, earns both LCC and HS credit for the same course.
