HEALTH & WELLNESS AIMING FOR LEED GOLD STANDARD
Facilities, Management and Planning and Information Technology staff at Lane Community College have reviewed the latest drawings and provided input related to maintenance and operations for the Health and Wellness building. Architects are now developing construction documents and will prepare an updated cost estimate. The design currently meets U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver standard and is two to three points from LEED gold standard. The general contractor is scheduled to mobilize and begin demolition of the tennis courts June 15. A contractor staging area will be established in the parking lots west of the tennis courts so there will be less parking in lot A for the next 12-15 months beginning in June.
