A versatile runner who can compete in the half-mile all the way up to the 10k. A decorated prep athlete who won 3 state titles while at McKenzie High School (2 track, 1 XC). A member of the 2005 XC state championship team as a sophomore. He returned to the track that Spring to place 4th in the 2005 OSAA 1A state meet in the 3k (9:27.84). Over the next two seasons he would win the 3k title (2006-9:18.01) and claim second place honors (2007- 9:08.71). He won the 2007 OSAA 1A state meet in the 1,500m with a time of 4:11.40. As a senior he won the 1A-2A-3A State Cross Country title. A two-time borderclash qualifier. One of the finalists for the Steve Prefontaine Oregon Sports Award. An honor society member who enjoys hunting, running, swimming and ping-pong. Hopes to pursue a career in coaching after college.
