If you are planning to return to school in the fall of 2009, you may be eligible for one of hundreds of student scholarships offered through the Lane Community College Foundation.
A list of scholarships appears in Lane's Scholarship Opportunities Booklet, which will be available in January, 2009, on Lane's main campus in Career and Employment Services, Building 1, Room 102. Most scholarships have an application deadline of mid-March for awards received in the fall of 2009. The following helpful resources are available on the Lane Community College website:

Career & Employment Services:This site lists many excellent resources related to scholarships. Included are useful tips for completing scholarship applications.
Financial Aid: This site has details about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and has an excellent list of topics related to student financial assistance. Scholarships requiring proof of financial need will require filing a FAFSA.
In addition to the private scholarships listed in the Scholarship Opportunities Booklet, direct awards to Lane students are available from a variety of organizations. Information about other organizations that offer scholarships and grants can be obtained from Lane Career and Employment Services (541-463-5167), high school guidance counselors, libraries and scholarship search Web sites, such as www.fastweb.com.
