Lane Retirees Association News and Events
Retirees Stay Active to Support the College and Each Other
The formation of the Lane Retirees Association was started with the help of former Lane employee, Bob Way. He envisioned an organization that could provide an opportunity for retirees to keep in touch with each other, to maintain communication with the college, and to socialize in group activities. With President Spilde's support and encouragement, the Lane Retirees Association became a reality in February of 2003. "Our number one goal is to have fun," said Bob.
Anyone who has retired from Lane Community College or was employed at Lane for 10 years or more is eligible to become a member of the Lane Retirees Association. Members stay in touch through special interest meetings and activities, a quarterly newsletter and an annual luncheon held in the spring.
If you would like join the Retirees Association, or renew your annual membership, you can do this online by clicking the "Give Now" link on the left and selecting "LCC Retiree's Association Fund" from the designation drop-down box. Annual dues for 2015 are $25.
For additional information, contact the Foundation, (541) 463-5226, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Walk with Bill
We had a lovely time on October 15th, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. We met in the parking lot at Alton Baker Park (near the duck pond and Ferry Street Bridge). The walk, headed by Bill Buskirk, included the Willamette River, Autzen Stadium, Science Factory, Cuthbert Amphitheater, arboretum and community gardens. What a beautiful day!
