Kappy Eaton Scholarship Established At Lane Community College
The Eugene-Lane Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) has established a fund with the Lane Community College Foundation. The AAUW Kappy Eaton Scholarship Fund will create an ongoing endowment for a woman LCC graduate who is transferring to a four-year university or college.
The scholarship honors the many contributions Kappy Eaton has made to AAUW, nationally and locally, in advancing equity in education for women and girls. Eaton is a life member of AAUW and past branch president.
AAUW is raising $25,000 to create an endowed scholarship. The chapter sought to raise $10,000 by June 1, 2008, and they have already reached their goal. The remaining $15,000 will be sought over the next two years. When fully endowed, the scholarship will provide one annual $1,800 scholarship.
Tax-deductible contributions can be made directly to the LCC Foundation. Note the gift is for AAUW Kappy Eaton Scholarship Fund. Give online. Click the gold "Give Now" button at the top of the page.
Lane Community College is an affiliate member of AAUW, a nationwide network of more than 100,000 members and 500 college and university partners. AAUW promotes equity for all women and girls, lifelong education and positive societal change.
