How to apply
Complete the online Credit Application. You must have an email address before completing the online application. Contact Florence Center staff, (541) 997-8444, to find out more about setting up a free email account.

Placement Testing

Schedule testing after receiving your "L" number. Please contact our office staff at (541) 997-8444 to schedule your test date. Testing is available by appointment only at the Florence Center. These tests are offered online in our testing lab for reading, writing and mathematics placement. The placement test is designed to place students in the best possible class that fits their knowledge level. Review Sheets and Study Tips: Students may prepare for the placement tests online. Prepare for math placement tests by refreshing your skills. Review sheet sets can be printed from the LCC Math Department website; there are Math review sheets available.

Non-Credit Classes

Continuing Education classes

Florence Center offers an assortment of noncredit, life‑long learning opportunities that promote the career advancement, economic development, personal enrichment and cultural well‑being of our students and community. Feel free to stop by the college and visit our learning center.

Outward Ventures are open to all adults interested in an education and cultural experience. Transportation is provided for all classes. Please contact Community Learning Program Director, Barbara Baker at (541) 997-8444, ext. 4825 with specific questions about Outward Ventures.

Non-Credit Student Registration

1. Register on myLane

If you know your "L"number and password, you may go to myLane and register via myEnrollment.

2. Register by mail

Print out and complete the Continuing Education registration form and mail it to LCC Florence Center, 3149 Oak Street, Florence, OR 97439; or fax it to (541) 997-8448

3. Register in person

Visit the Florence Center at 3149 Oak Street. Staff will provide you with the current Community Education schedule and assist you in registering.

4. Register by phone

Call Florence Center, (541) 997-8444, and a staff person will assist you in registering for current term classes.

A tuition discount will be given to students 60 years or better for many of the non-credit classes offered. The discount applies only to tuition, not to class fees. Look for the senior price on classes throughout the schedule. (Discount does not apply to all non-credit classes.)
