Doug originally came to Eugene to run track.  After competing for LCC he decided to join the flight program in the fall of 2004.  He became interested in flying while growing up in Alaska.

While not flying, Doug enjoys playing the guitar, running, camping, hiking, snow boarding and any other outdoor activity.

When finished with his flying career he would like to retire to a cabin in Alaska and own a lodge on a lake.
