Before beginning his career in aviation, Joaquin worked in music, physics, molecular biology, and as an SAT tutor.  He started flying in Ohio while at college, and while he misses watching all the beautiful thunderstorms in that part of the country from the ground, he does not miss them in the air! 

Joaquin enjoys cooking, playing music, and hanging out in coffee shops when not on the job.  His aviation aspirations include flying single-pilot night freight, and flying internationally.
