Advanced Certification Courses
offered under Part 61

  • Additional Rating Private Pilot Airplane Muliengine Land (AMEL)  This course prepares Private Pilots for the Multiengine rating.  It is proficiency based with a minimum of six lessons in the Piper Seminole and four lessons in the Frasca FTD configured as a Piper Seminole. Approximate hour and costs are shown in Training Costs - Additional Ratings.
  • Additional Rating Commercial Pilot AMELThis course is similar to the above except it requires instrument proficiency in a multiengine airplane. 
  • Flight Instructor Airplane Single Engine  This course prepares Commercial Pilots for the Flight Instructor Airplane certification.  Because this is normally the initial Flight Instructor rating it involves practice teaching all "Technical Subject Areas" and a discussion of the Fundamentals of Instruction as well as flying and teaching all flight training maneuvers. This course is proficiency based and the training costs relate to the individual student.
  • Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane This course prepares Commercial Pilots for the Flight Instructor Instrument cerification.  Students will be proficient in teaching all Technical Subject Areas related to instrument instruction.  This course is proficiency based and the training costs relate to the individual student.
  • Flight Instructor Airplane Multiengine  This course prepares Commercial Pilots for the Flight Instructor Multiengine cerification.  Students will be proficient in teaching all Technical Subject Areas related to multiengine instruction.  This course is proficiency based and the training costs relate to the individual student.
