Lane's Flight Technology Program offers:

  • A two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree which includes flight training for Commercial Pilot in single and multiengine airplanes with instrument rating.  Additional training is available for Flight Instructor with ratings for airplane, instrument and multi-engine.  
  • A Two-year Associate of Applied Science Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree including the above pilot certification provides the lower division component for the Oregon State University College of Liberal Arts BA/BS degrees in Aviation Leadership.  This degree has been designed in cooperation with OSU to prepare professional pilot managers and program managers in aviation.   This AAOT degree may be transfered to OSU or any other four-year aviation degree.
  • Flight training toward Private Pilot through advanced ratings to complement other education or career goals.

Flight training and ground classes are integrated so that you will start flying on the first day.   Our fleet of dual controlled Piper and Cessna aircraft provide a safe flight training environment. 

This program is approved by the Oregon State Board of Higher Education and the Veterans Administration.  Our Private Pilot and Professional Pilot Flying School courses are approved by the FAA.  Our tower-controlled, multiple-runway airport provides a rich training environment. 

Flight training in Oregon provides a wide variety weather, terrain features and airport complexities.  The Eugene area provides a safe enviroment for flight training in the clouds.  The weather in Oregon provides clouds.
