Respiratory Care
Graduates are eligible to become a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) after passing the Advanced Practitioner credentialing examination administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Respiratory Therapists provide treatment, management, control, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with respiration. They provide patients with therapeutic use of medical gases, air and oxygen administering apparatus. They perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and measures and maintenance of natural, artificial, and mechanical airways.
