The Health Professions Department (formerly know as Family and Health Careers) offers a variety of programs to assist individuals wishing to enter health care careers. The excellence of each program is evidenced by graduates' high scores on licensing board exams, rapid placement graduates in local and regional employment, and in program accreditation from governing boards. Each program admits students beginning in the fall quarter. Application process and deadlines vary. The department also provides community services that are supplemental to the educational programs:
- DENTAL CLINIC offers preventative dental services.
The Lane Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic is now scheduling appointments. If you have not had a dental visit within the past two years, please call 463-5206 for a screening appointment. The Lane Dental Hygiene Clinic offers low cost cleanings,
X-rays and sealants.
Noncredit programs in other Healthcare careers are run through Continuing Education.
Such programs include: Licensed Massage Therapy, CNA, CNA 2, Phlebotomy, Healthcare Access Associate, Sterile Processing Technician
