Student Success Starts Here!

Lane Community College invites you to attend its annual open house for prospective high school students and their families. Lane Preview Night will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 6 to 7:30 pm in Building 5 / Gymnasium. This event is a great opportunity to meet Lane faculty and staff, find out more about our academic transfer or career and technical programs, and learn why so many students choose Lane to achieve their dreams in higher education!

Lane Community College is located at 4000 East 30th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon, 97405. A campus map and driving directions can be found by clicking here. Parking on campus is free, but due to increased enrollment at the college this year, we encourage you to arrive early and park in lots A and B.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

5:45 pm – Lane Preview Night Check-in – Gym lobby
Let us know you’re here so we can enter you in our prize drawing for cool gear like sweatshirts, backpacks and more! We’ll give you an agenda so you know what’s happening, where it takes place and when.

6:00-7:30 pm – Information Fair – Gym
Take this time to visit with various campus representatives from our academic transfer programs, career and technical programs and student support resources. Our talented faculty and staff are here to answer your questions and get you the information you need.

Lane Preview Night attendees

We will offer six breakout session opportunities including an open lab to assist you with Admissions and FAFSA applications. 

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Lane encourages all students to apply for financial aid and scholarships. Learn more during this session about how you can get money to fund your college education.

Open Lab
The office of Enrollment and Student Financial Services will offer an open lab for assistance with completing your application for admission and financial aid application.  Please refer to the Financial Aid Checklist prior to attending to ensure your are bringing the proper documentation. 

Testing…Testing…123…Testing!
All incoming Lane students are required to take placement exams in reading, writing and math. Come hear about how this important part of our admissions process is accessible from your high school campus!

The First-Year Experience
Come hear about Lane’s Learning Communities, which help ease a student’s transition into college by linking faculty and classes together with the same students. Find out why one of our unique first-year programs will benefit you as a student.

Soy Lane Community College
Asista a esta sesión para darse cuenta del apoyo que Lane Community College ofrece a los estudiantes y familias de habla española. Come to this session to learn about the support Lane provides for Spanish speaking students and their families.

Transferring to a Four-Year College or University
Many Lane students intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree at another college or university. Hear from an academic advisor about the requirements to transfer to other Oregon institutions, and get a sense of what requirements you might need to fulfill.
