Distance Learning Video Services

Distance Learning's first priority is to provide educational opportunities to the college and community, primarily through credit course offerings.  We are able to offer these additional services when allowed by time, space, and personnel resources.

Most of our services are provided at no charge to college departments; however, some of our services have costs that must be passed on to the requesting department. There may be additional charges for events held outside of regular business hours for additional personnel, ISDN connections, long distance charges, license fees, or DVDs/videotapes.

Requests from outside agencies and community groups can be accommodated when facilities are not otherwise in use. Please see the Distance Learning Rate Card for educational/nonprofit and commercial cost information.

To a request a service, make a reservation or to check facility availability, call (541) 463-5893 or e-mail millsa@lanecc.edu with the date and time for which you are requesting the service and the number of participants you expect to attend. In order to ensure facility and staff availability, please make your requests as far in advance as possible.

IP Videoconferencing

Distance Learning has two rooms available:

Classroom style - seats 30-40, ceiling mounted video projection unit
Conference room - seats 7-10, 32" monitors

Our equipment is compatible with most standards. Please provide at least one week lead-time prior to the event to check connectivity with remote sites.

Satellite Teleconferencing

The college serves as a receive site for satellite teleconferences. Both C and Ku band downlinks are available. Rooms are available in three sizes: 7-10 persons, 30-40 persons, or 80-100 persons. Additional room rental fees apply for events held in Lane’s Center for Meeting and Learning.

Video Duplication, Field Production, Post Production, and Studio Production Services are also available. Please see the Distance Learning Rate Card. Call or email for more information.
