You're invited to Disability Resources' High School Transition Academy!

Lane Community College, Center for Meeting and Learning (CML), Room 104
Who is invited?
Juniors and seniors who are enrolled in special education and/or have an IEP or 504 plan and are interested in attending colleges or universities, getting additional career training or finding out about a rewarding and interesting career.
High school staff including teachers, counselors, Youth Transition Program specialists, other transitions staff, and administrators.
Parents of high school students.
Keynote Address: Kathryn Marxen was Dr. Temple Grandin's teaching assistant for her livestock handling course at Colorado State University.
Campus Tour: Choose one with emphasis on Health Careers, Media Arts, Culinary or Automotive/Welding.
Each tour will visit Lane's newly remolded Building #10 for an R-Tech Program introduction by Bear Goodman.
Apple Computer will demonstrate creative ways to use IPAD's Apps and built in accessibility features for college success.

Registration is limited to 125 students.
Reservations will be confirmed by email.
The Academy is FREE!
Transportation is not provided, therefore, students should confirm transportation plans with their local high school teachers and transition staff.
