    Explains satisfactory academic progress standards, disqualification and appeal processes.
  • FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid
    Use this online application to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. In order to be eligible to receive student financial aid or charge textbooks at the LCC bookstore, an applicant needs to fill-out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid every school year.
  • The University of Washington's DO-IT Center
    DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) funding strategies for students with disabilities.
  • The George Washington University HEATH Resource Center
    Online clearinghouse for post-secondary education for individuals with disabilities.
  • The Old School Financial Aid Resource Center
  • The Foundation Center
    Funding Resources for people with disabilities.
  • Assisting Youth with Disabilities to Study and Work Abroad
    People with disabilities are under-represented in the workforce and in traineeships and volunteer opportunities, especially those requiring travel to another country. With support from the Swedish government, the Independent Living Institute compiles information about university study, traineeships, and volunteer work for all, including people with disabilities. Their online database covers many countries.
  • Hispanic Scholarship Fund
    A not-for-profit organization, dedicated to advancing college education among Hispanic Americans.
  • FastWeb
    A free internet search engine for state financial aid resources, as well as reading materials about applying for different types of scholarships, grants and government funding.
  • U.S. Department of Education, Office of Post Secondary Education
    The site for the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Post Secondary Education highlights available government resources and the application process.
  • Fast Aid
    An online scholarship search engine with search hints, tips from students who have been through the process and other reading material.
  • Free Scholarship Search
    A database of scholarships that can be accessed utilizing various criteria. It also contains a tips page for filling out scholarship applications, including some basic information about how to fill out forms and present yourself to scholarship organizations.
  • National Federation of the Blind
    The National Federation of the Blind has a large scholarship program whose awards are made solely to persons who are legally blind. Each year at its national convention in July, the Federation awards thirty scholarships to high-achieving legally blind students.
  • Incight™ Scholarships
    The Incight Fellow Scholarship Program offers a long-term commitment to students entering and attending college. Requirements are as follows:
    • Physical disability, including sight, hearing and learning disabilities.
    • Essay of 250 word max. Please see application for subject matter.
    • Letter of Reference. Applicant may choose individual, no limit on length.
  • Washington Center Scholarships and Internship Program for College Students with Disabilities
    The Washington Center provides scholarship awards in the amount of $2,500 for students with disabilities. The center also helps to provide internship opportunities to assist students in developing leadership skills and gaining valuable experience in government, business and non-profit sectors.
