The Culinary and Hospitality Club
Purpose: The Club provides an opportunity for all students of our program to get together, have fun, network for future jobs, support each other while in school, and have a voice in the quality and standards of the program.
Meetings are held once a month. Gratuities from the Renaissance Room and special functions as well as any student run fundraising activities are deposited into the student club fund. These monies are used to purchase extra equipment for student use, and to pay entrance fees to extra curricular activities such as the Food Show, Chef's Night Out, and any other functions that build a community spirit.
During winter term three executive officers are elected. Officers get leadership experience as well as an impressive bit of information to put on their resume. Employers are looking for employees who have leadership experience and are not afraid of taking on responsibility.
The advisors for the club are Clive Wanstall, Culinary faculty member, and Joe McCully, Hospitality Management faculty member.
