Congratulations to, Lane's Employee of the Month for April

April brings classified employee Vicki Doughty the well deserved title of Employee of the Month. 

As a 30 year employee of Lane, Vicki was nominated by her co-workers in Counseling and Advising for her enthusiasm, passion, and extensive knowledge of not only computers and software, but many aspects of Lane that help her to be an invaluable resource for students and staff seeking answers to many questions. Vicki began her LCC career in Student Employment but in one year she was working as a Clerk 2 in the Counseling department. Vicki moved up to a Clerk 3, then Administrative Assistant when she discovered nobody in the department knew a great deal about computers.  Vicki realized her job was to learn what was needed to do her job well so she took classes here at Lane to increase her knowledge of computers and technology to better serve everyone.  As the computer technician for the department, Vicki has proven to be valuable to everyone she works with each day.  Not only was Vicki nominated for doing an excellent job but her colleagues gave many examples of how she served students and staff "above and beyond" her job description. Vicki also enthusiastically participates in the greater college community through United Way, Blood Drive, Wellness Program and hiring committees. 

Vicki was very surprised and moved by both the nomination and winning the April Employee of the Month reward.
