KUDOS and Congratulations go to December's Classified Employee of the Month - Tara Pemberton.

Representatives of the Classified Professional Development Team joined staff of the Health & PE Division, as well as students/staff in the Fitness Education Center (FEC), to present Tara Pemberton (front center behind balloons) with the Employee of the Month award for December.  Tara started as a timesheet employee in the March 2000, became a temporary contracted employee in September of 2003, and was hired into a permanent contract as an Instructional Specialist in the FEC in June of 2005.  Tara's colleagues appreciate her welcoming attitude in the FEC.  She consistently goes above and beyond to create an environment that all students, staff and community members feel welcome in.  She is creative in helping FEC participants "branch out" in their workouts, as well as developing enhanced learning objectives for student interns in the Fitness Training Program.  People keep coming back to the FEC because of Tara; this is good for their health and good for LCC enrollment!   Tara is a big part of the "little community" of the H&PE Division - her honesty and ability to assess a situation without prejudice are highly regarded.  Tara exhibits a balanced lifestyle, both at Lane and away: she is an avid bicyclist, enjoys time with her family, practices good nutrition.  She is an example to us all - especially that constant smile!  When you see Tara, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as December's Classified Employee of the Month.
