May 2005 - Susan Tatar Facilities
Management and Planning
There is excitement and celebration over in building 7 today because the May Classified Employee of the Month has worked in the Facilities Management and Planning department since October of 1993. Susan Tatar, Administrative Specialist, moved over to the Bond Project in 1999 and kept departments and contractors working smoothly and efficiently together. Susan is described as intelligent, positive, conscientious, respectful and courteous to her fellow workers and customers. When Susan started working in the Bond office she had no prior experience with large scale, multi-project construction programs, relocating of departments or with acquisition and distribution of furnishings. The same is true when she began working with Schedule 25, the software which tracks space on campus. Both these projects were new and presented Susan with new challenges. Susan rose to the challenge, learning all the ins-and-outs of construction, familiarizing herself with new terminology, tracking projects, and developing positive relationships. When she is not giving 110% to her job, she enjoys visiting with her family, especially her 18 month old granddaughter in Ohio. Way to go Susan. Classified
